Introduction

As a part Arab woman who has lived most of her life in the Middle East, I think it would be safe for me to say that the perception of Arab women in the western media is almost -if not entirely - misleading. I have chosen the topic "Arab women vs The Media" for my blog to try and change the way people perceive Arab women and how they are treated in the Middle East. 

In my opinion, there are a lot of things that people don't understand about the Arab culture, and as someone who comes from both, the Western and the Arab worlds, I can see where the confusion begins from both sides of the spectrum. My goal is to clarify news, or even other articles on different blogs, from the perspective of an Arab woman.
